ARDEN LUME creates and curates premium lighting fixtures for carefully considered interiors. Because lighting is fragile, dimensional, and often produced or prepared for a specific project, we ask customers to review all product specifications, dimensions, finish details, voltage requirements, and installation needs before placing an order.
This policy explains when returns are accepted, how to request a return authorization, who is responsible for return shipping, and which items are not eligible for return.
Return Window
Eligible items may be returned within 60 days of the confirmed delivery date.
To qualify for return, the item must be:
- Unused, uninstalled, and unmodified
- In its original packaging, including all accessories, mounting hardware, manuals, and protective materials
- Free from scratches, wiring changes, installation marks, wear, damage, or missing parts
- Approved through our return authorization process before being shipped back
Items that have been installed, altered, rewired, customized, damaged after delivery, or returned without authorization are not eligible for refund.
Request a Return Authorization First
Please do not send any product back without contacting us first. All returns require written return authorization from ARDEN LUME.
To request a return, email us at info@ardenlumelight.com with:
- Your order number
- The item name and quantity
- The reason for return
- Clear photos of the product and original packaging
- Photos of any damage or defect, if applicable
Our team will review your request and provide return instructions if the item is eligible. Returns shipped to an incorrect address or shipped without authorization may be refused or delayed.
Return Shipping Responsibility
Return shipping responsibility depends on the reason for the return.

Premium lighting fixtures can be large, fragile, and expensive to ship internationally. For preference-based returns, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying return shipping unless otherwise agreed in writing by ARDEN LUME.
We strongly recommend contacting us before ordering if you are unsure about fixture size, finish, hanging length, voltage, dimming compatibility, or installation conditions.
Return Address
The correct return address depends on the item, fulfillment location, and order destination. We will provide the applicable return address after your return request is approved.
Do not send returns to the business address, warehouse address, or any address found online unless our support team specifically confirms it for your order. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.
Order Cancellation
Within 24 Hours
Orders may usually be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase if production, packing, customization, or dispatch has not begun.
After 24 Hours
After 24 hours, cancellation depends on the item's production or fulfillment status. If materials have been prepared, customization has started, or the item is already packed for shipment, a cancellation fee may apply.
After Shipment
Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled. If the item is eligible for return, the standard return process will apply after delivery.
Refused Delivery
If a customer refuses delivery without prior written approval from ARDEN LUME, any carrier return charges, handling costs, loss, storage fees, or restocking costs may be deducted from the refund.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return except where required by applicable law or where a verified manufacturing defect is confirmed:
- Custom-made or made-to-specification fixtures
- Custom size, custom finish, custom color, custom cable length, or project-specific configurations
- Installed, modified, rewired, or altered products
- Items missing original packaging, accessories, parts, or hardware
- Clearance, final sale, sample sale, or specially marked non-returnable items
- Bulbs, consumables, replacement parts, and loose accessories once opened or used
- Bulk or project orders of three or more identical units, unless a defect is verified
- Expedited shipping fees, special handling fees, and other fulfilled service fees
For project orders, we recommend ordering one sample or confirming all specifications in writing before approving a larger quantity.
Refund Processing
After an approved return is received, we will inspect the item.
- Inspection normally takes 3-5 business days after receipt.
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
- Refund processing normally takes 7-14 business days after inspection approval.
- Your bank, card issuer, or payment provider may require additional time before the refund appears.
Shipping fees, expedited service fees, and payment-provider fees may be non-refundable unless the return is caused by our error or required by applicable law. Duties and taxes originally covered by ARDEN LUME are not charged separately to the customer, but special destination costs, refused-delivery fees, or customer-caused return costs may be deducted where applicable.
Damage, Defects, or Missing Parts
Lighting fixtures are fragile and must be inspected promptly after delivery.
If your item arrives damaged, defective, or missing parts, contact us within 7 days of delivery. Include:
- Order number
- Photos of the outer carton
- Photos of the inner packaging
- Photos or video of the damaged item, defect, or missing part
- A short description of the issue
Please keep all packaging until the claim is resolved. We may need packaging photos for carrier insurance or quality-control review.
Depending on the issue, ARDEN LUME may provide replacement parts, replacement glass, repair support, a replacement fixture, or a refund.
Product Tolerances and Material Variations
Premium lighting often includes hand-finished metal, glass, alabaster, travertine, marble, wood, ceramic, fabric, silk, or other natural and handworked materials. These materials may show natural variation.
The following are not normally considered defects:
- Slight finish or color variation caused by lighting, photography, or screen display
- Natural veining, grain, mineral marks, texture, or tone variation in stone, wood, shell, glass, or handmade materials
- Minor handcraft marks that do not affect safe use
- Small dimensional variation due to manual measurement or handmade production
- Expected patina or natural aging of brass, copper, wood, or other living finishes

Regional Consumer Rights
This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. Where local law provides stronger rights than this policy, those legal rights apply.
